I'm looking to do a few things: Replace, or plug the ventilation holes in the side panel window. RETIRED MEMBER - PLEASE GO TO HTTPS://GRADIVIS.COM/PROJECTS TO SEE THIS WORK LOG!The aim of this mod is to shake up the norm of aluminum-silver G5/Mac Pro mods by employing a darker theme for my Mac Pro. I wanted to push watercooling to the most. Possible. While gaming and also for working.Quite a challenge and a lot to learn.Thoughts on water-cooling:It always depends on the use-case if water-cooling is more silent than air-cooling.My personal experience:Air-cooling is more silent in idle load scenarios (when you just do some easy tasks like browsing or office)Water-cooling is more silent for constant high load (e.g. When you are gaming/working for long times)Tricks to get the water-cooling as silent as possible:Configure the BIOS to turn off the radiator-fans in Idle load scenarios. That leaves only the pump running.Undervolt the pump (to e.g. Constant 7V).This works best, if you can plug the pump into a fan or pump header and assign a constant (lower that 100%) speed to it in the BIOS.If your BIOS does not allow that, you could use a resistor-adaptor to slow it down. This project started before my 26 PowerMac G5 Case Modding Project. From a functional standpoint, this case isn't too different from the types of cases that are popular today. The main issue I see is that it comes with an excessive number of 5.25' drive bays and internal drive cages (by today's standards, at least), whereas a newer case would leave that space open for increased front-mounted radiator compatibility. Some enthusiasts might also take issue with the lack of front panel USB 3.1/Type-C connectivity.Aside from that, the differences are mainly aesthetic. Cases in today's market trend heavily toward a minimalist design. For example, take a look at the,. In contrast, the Corsair Vengeance C70 has a busy, bulky, military-inspired look to it, and it's missing aesthetic touches that have become common in newer cases (RGB lighting, tempered glass side panels, PSU shrouds, etc.). These things don't necessarily affect its usability as a case, since it seems to have good airflow and plenty of cable management options, but I could see why people currently looking to buy a case would pass on this. I own one as well as a Define R5. The Define is a little easier to build in and do cable management, but I still love the C70. The define has just as many internal bays if not more. It has one less external 5.25' bay than the C70. Cool Computer Case ModsBoth units have removable internal bays built in blocks you so can remove excess cages at will. Skyrim fast level destruction. C70 has nice mesh covers on the external bays so they blend right into the front of the case if you don't want to use them. Both cases could benefit from a PSU shroud in the windowed varieties. Personally I like the C70 because it's unique and not just another refrigerator pretending to be a computer case. Don't get me wrong. Corsair C70 Case Mods DownloadThe R5 is nice and sleek, though I do find it to be excessively wide. The main complaints I have on the C70 are the perforated window, which I replaced with a tinted one, and the lack of front panel connectivity. Just audio and two USB3 ports on the front, which is not really terrible considering USB-C was in it's infancy when this case was made. They could update it a bit though. It's a very popular modder's case. Corsair C70 Vengeance Pc CaseCorsair Vengeance C70 Case ModsJacob: you can buy these now if there is anyone with this case in 2018 watching this.
